Rebecca Cottle-Makhene,LPC, RPT-S, CATP

Originally from West Virginia, I have a dual undergraduate degree and masters from Marshall University in Psychology and Counseling.
My experiences are varied, from working at residential facilities for adults, children, and teens to working in social services as a protective services worker for children and families, and later as a court ordered therapist for abused children. With every role I have always had a passion for helping children and their families. Throughout those roles I always felt as though interaction with the children everyday would be the best way to make a positive difference, this belief is what has lead me to school counseling. I began my school counseling career as the full-time counselor at Mullen Elementary in 2002. Along with being a school counselor I am also a licensed counselor and provide therapy in the clinical setting for children and families at an outside agency.
I may be contacted
during school hours at 703.330.0427.
